FleetUp is looking for a Product Test Engineer to join our growing Product Test team. In this remote role, you will have a direct impact on the continued growth and success of our brand. As a Product Test Engineer, you will:
ย Identify hardware and software solutions
ย Troubleshoot escalated technical issues
ย Investigate, diagnose and resolve product issues reported by customers
ย Work with Tech Support, Customer Success, QA, and Engineering departments to quickly get to the root of reported issues
ย Provide timely and accurate resolutions to reported issues
ย Speak with customers through a series of actions to resolve a problem
ย Follow up with clients to ensure the problem is resolved
ย Support the roll-out of new applications.
ย Provide support in the form of procedural documentation
ย Manage multiple cases at one time
ย Test and evaluate new hardware and software products
ย Perform new product hardware validations, hardware testing and platform interface testing including electrical safety checks on products and equipment
ย Test prototype and pre-production test hardware products to prove the functionality promised by vendors and identify hardware design issues
ย Setup, execute tests and provide summary reports, insights and analysis
ย Analyzing test data to identify both hardware and software issues, and report findings
ย Maintain and improve existing test firmware and test software to achieve validation and debugging goals
ย Collaborate closely with product engineers and test engineers to improve our products and drive innovation through quality
ย Perform product reliability tests (Drop / Vibration / Heat)
ย Make on-site visits to customer locations (both domestic and international) to fix issues
ย Occasionally work out of FleetUp office (located in Glendale) and remotely
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
ย 3+ years of product support experience
ย Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time
ย Familiarity with hardware and software test tools
ย Hands-on experience in understanding the hardware components and functionality based on vendor hardware manuals
ย Hands-on experience in setting up test environment, drafting test cases and test execution
ย Experience producing written technical test reports
ย Strong interpersonal skills to interact and communicate effectively one-on-one and group situations and to build cooperative effective relationships
ย Experience with automotive industry a plus
