Description:
Β The Purchasing Lean Leader will provide support and coach within the Supply chain focused on suppliers in the development and sustainment of a Materials Management Strategy (roadmap) aligned with the business targets.
Β You will partner with organizational leadership to drive product and process improvements that deliver lead time and inventory reductions supporting customer delivery.
Β As the Purchasing Lean Leader you will: Develop and execute the lean roadmap for the materials organization, ensuring alignment and synergy between internal materials planning and external suppliers.
Β Collaborate with suppliers and buyers to integrate them into the Pull/replenishment systems, fostering seamless supply chain operations and alignment with internal processes.
Β Facilitate regular communication and feedback loops between the internal factory and external suppliers to ensure consistent application of lean principles.
Β Own supplier priorities for parts on pull and schedule attainment aligned with business targets.
Β Responsible for continuous improvement plans for materials lean systems including VSMs.
Β Coach teams from front line to executives on lean materials systems.
Β Plan and deliver projects & initiatives aligned to the roadmap.
Β Accountable for daily management and problem solving to keep team on target.
Requirements:
Β Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma /GED with at least 10 years of experience in Manufacturing)
Β Minimum of 5 additional years in Lean and/or Materials
Β Proven ability to collaborate with external partners and integrate them into existing systems to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Β Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.
Β Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization.
Β Lean Materials experience including but not limited to: standard work, material presentation, supermarkets, flow, pull, waterspider routes, heijunka, and kanban.
Β Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing and inventory management.
Β Demonstrated commitment for process improvement.
Β Six Sigma Green / Black belt certification or equivalent quality certification.
