Job Description
Piping Revit Designer
As a Piping Designer will design detailed engineering drawings for various projects with a diverse portfolio of project types and clients. Perform a variety of assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques including drawing sequence and presentation, incorporating various system components, and refining rough sketches.
Plan and develop drawings in Revit for production work including problem analysis, design layout on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
Execute variety of piping design assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques including drawing sequence and presentation, and refining rough sketches.
Execute changes to designs or sketches and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects.
Analyze reports, drawings, and tests to plan and design projects.
Interpret and incorporate design codes and specifications related to design requirements.
Perform projects tasks and assignments within budgeted hours and deadlines.
Responsible for the revisions of project drawings, plot files and project-related information are stored in a logical and well-structured manner.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience designing in Revit required to prepare engineering drawings.
Experience in MEP and/or Process Piping Design / modeling in 3D preferred
Understanding of design in AutoCAD with the ability to learn new design software programs.
Experience in Dynamo is a plus
Advanced knowledge in design and design of systems.
Experience working in an industrial or chemical industry is a plus
Experience with HVAC, utility air, building utility or plumbing for large facilities is a plus
Semiconductor exp would be a bonus
Ability to work collaboratively with others including Project Managers, Engineers and Designers in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
