Description
Working from customer drawings, data files and engineering sketches, prepare drawings for use in the manufacture of castings and assemblies using CAD system.
Β Use solid modeling to create casting, pattern and die designs, applying shrink allowance per engineering standards, including weight calculations.
Β Prepare machining drawings and process sheets for machining operations, including all manufacturing notes, tolerances, part weights and other requirements and specifications.
Β Produce and maintain die drawings for the Die Shop.
Β Maintain CAD database including drawing numbers, revision levels and conversions to item numbers as required.
Β Operate plotter to produce hard copies of drawings.
Requirements
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products, experience/knowledge of Unigraphics NX or similar CAD system, including solid modeling, is essential.
Β Strong written and verbal communication skills, including reporting and analyzing results and preparing presentations with attention to detail.
Β Experience preparing manufacturing drawings, preferably in a machining environment.
Β Experience maintaining a database of CAD files.
Β Formal technical education in CAD (preferably Unigraphics).
