About this Position:
Millennial Software is looking for a self-starting, team-oriented Engineer to join our dynamic development team in supporting a Government customer.
Utilize strong technical foundation with skills such as scripting and working to get tools from production into operation using systems engineering skills.
Β Develop innovative solutions and coordinate those solutions between members of the technical and operational staff at a classified government site and end-users in the field.
Β Work closely with customers, operational staff, and development staff to solve problems in an operational environment.
Β Maintain current knowledge of engineering practices and technical solutions.
Β Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies.
Β Take direction from senior technical leadership and/or Project Manager on project specifications.
Β Setup, configure and maintain various EC2 and Containerized environments to support development, test, integration, and operational software threads.
Β Setup, configure and maintain Cloud environments (i.e. AWS).
Job Requirements
Β Must be US Citizen
Β Willing to work onsite in Government customer sites in Northern Virginia
Β Experience with automated deployment technologies such as CloudFormation and Ansible.
Β Linux system administration experience (RedHat 7/8).
Β Prior experience using Kubernetes to orchestrate the deployment, scaling, and management of Docker containers.
Β Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Β Must hold active Security+ certification.
Β Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab.
Β Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its core services (i.e., EC2, S3, SQS).
Preferred Skills:
Β Experience supporting software in a production environment.
Β Computer Science or related degree.
Β Prior experience using Hashicorp suite tools such as Packer, Terraform
Accepting the following levels:
Β Mid: Typically requires a minimum of 3-7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 1-5 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Β Senior: Typically requires a minimum of 5 to 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; or a 3-5 yearsΒ experience with a Master's degree; or 1- 3 years of experience with a PhD degree.
