Responsibilities
A week in the life of a Atlassian Software Expert:
Β Serve as a subject matter expert for Atlassian Jira/Confluence/Jira Service Management and associated plugins in a virtualized environment.
Β Configure and customize Jira products to automate processes, improve efficiency, and enhance user experience for all stakeholders.
Β Integrate Atlassian products with CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless flow of information between development and operations teams.
Β Perform data migration from one Atlassian environment to another, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
Β Confluence Implementation: Create new spaces for users, define permissions, and maintain a well-organized knowledge base.
Β Develop custom workflows, scripts, and automations to enhance JIRA functionality and leverage add-ons to extend its capabilities.
Β Establish and maintain procedural documentation and knowledge articles and share knowledge through training and mentorship of team members.
Β Collaborate closely with different working streams and engineers. Maintain strong communication and understanding of cross-functional team needs to ensure Atlassian solutions align with broader business objectives.
Β Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Jira and Confluence users.
Β Monitor and optimize the performance of Jira and Confluence instances.
Β Ensure data integrity and security within Jira and Confluence.
Β Stay up-to-date with the latest features and updates from Atlassian.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Β U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Β Security+ or equivalent IAT 2 or higher certification; or the ability to obtain one within 4 months of start date
Β Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Atlassian products specifically Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management
Β Ability to lead Atlassian automation, configuration, and implementation of projects to completion.
Β Ability to resolve complex Atlassian problems and provide solutions with minimal guidance.
Β Develop process documents (SOPs) for use by fellow team members.
Β Ability to prioritize and manage tasks to accomplish goals on a given timeline.
Β Virtualization experience using VMware / vSphere.
Β Ability to provide general technical support for Atlassian products.
Β Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, or JavaScript.
Β Experience with Atlassian SDK and plugin development.
Β Familiarity with REST APIs and webhooks for integration purposes.
Β Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Β Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Β Atlassian certifications (e.g., Jira Administrator, Confluence Administrator).
Β Experience with Data Center version of JIRA.
Β Knowledge of other Atlassian products (such as Bitbucket.)
Β Experience with administration of RedHat (or derivative).
Β Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $80,100.00/Yr. - USD $133,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
