Job Description
We are looking for a Plant Maintenance Technician. This person will be responsible for performing facility, and machine maintenance work, as directed, and assists in helping others in maintenance department project work.
Schedule: M-F 3pm to 11:30pm
Training will be conducted in the morning
Pay rate: $20-$25

Responsibilities:
Β Perform repairs as needed to industrial processing and packaging machinery including: Mixers, Conveyors, Fryers, Spiral Freezers, Pumps, Motors, Controls, etc.
Β Perform repairs to facility utilities including: plumbing, light fixtures, electrical outlets, HVAC, etc.
Β Respond promptly, safely and efficiently while utilizing all GMP and HACCP standards.
Β Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment and facility.
Β Communication and record keeping of repairs, PM's, and project updates.
Β Assist with shop organization and cleanliness of spare part inventory and tools.
ΒAssist with in-house projects including: metal fabrication, upgrades in both electrical, mechanical, and facilities up keep (patching, painting & caulking)
Β Available for occasional shift change to perform needed repairs, in-house projects, and PM's after production hours, weekends or holidays.
Β Must be able to order parts and machinery when needed Β Available on call for emergency repairs.
Β Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
Β Comply with all safety rules and guidelines
Β Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Β Manufacturing or related field is a plus
Β Ability to prioritize tasks
Β Ability to speak, read, and write in English
Β Basic computer and report writing skills
Β Basic math skills
Β Teamwork and communication skills
Β Strong attention to detail
Β Experience as an industrial maintenance technician
Β In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance
Β Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems
Β Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations
Β Excellent troubleshooting skills
Β Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment
Physical Requirements:
Β Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
Β Ability to withstand cold temperatures working inside the freezer with protective clothing for periods of time
Must be available to work a staggered schedule, overtime, holidays, Saturday and Sunday based on organizational needs.
