- Enterprise Architecture Development:
- Design and develop the overall architecture strategy for Medicaid-related technology platforms
- Evaluate current systems and identify opportunities for enhancement, modernization, and integration to support evolving business needs
- Establish and maintain architecture governance processes to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements
- Project Implementation & Oversight:
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Medicaid systems during project planning, execution, and post-implementation review
- Provide oversight and guidance in a PMO capacity, ensuring projects meet technical, budgetary, and timeline objectives
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, translating complex technical requirements into actionable project plans
- Technical Leadership & Innovation:
- Lead technical discussions and architecture reviews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes impacting Medicaid IT solutions
- Develop and promote best practices for scalable, secure, and efficient system design and integration
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, clinical, and external vendors, to ensure seamless integration and operation of Medicaid systems
- Communicate architectural vision and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Mentor and support junior architects and technical staff to build a strong internal competency in enterprise architecture
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a strong focus on healthcare IT systems within the Medicaid or public healthcare sector
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex technology platforms, including hands-on experience with system integrations, data management, and security protocols
- Experience with Medicaid program requirements, Medicaid and/or eligibility systems, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, state-specific mandates)
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, data analytics, and enterprise integration platforms
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail
- Strong project management skills with experience in PMO oversight, including managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and project management (e.g., PMP, Agile certifications)
