We’re seeking a talented writer with a nursing background to join our Performance Content team. Reporting to the Editor, Performance Content, this contract (40 hours per week) position will be responsible for writing/reviewing for accuracy content for a B2B or B2C audience designed to deliver exceptional brand experience and organic performance across several defined KPIs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research, write, and proof online content online and assist in maintaining company site pages and blogs containing content across multiple topic areas, for use by a B2B or B2C audience. Content includes, but is not limited to:
  • explanations of hiring issues, recruiting strategies, workforce management and planning, employee retention, regulatory, and other HR matters for a nursing professional or post-acute care facilities management audience;
  • information about common nursing career-related topics, including workplace issues, professional development, education, credentialing, salaries, and benefits;
  • comprehensive informational content on resumes/ CVs, cover letters, and the job application process; and
  • job postings or job descriptions for nursing professionals.
  • Coordinate content creation in support of company newsletters, or marketing landing pages as needed.
  • Keep up to date with best practices in writing for the web, social media trends, web usability, web design, and business/industry trends.
  • Work with editor and content strategists to constantly refine and improve writing style and to optimize content using best practices in keyword usage, title creation, E-E-A-T guidelines compliance, and content SEO.
  • Work with editors to ensure full coverage of topics and de-confliction of content.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure consistent focus, direction, and optimization of content.
  • Participate in regular team meetings for the purpose of brainstorming content ideas, skill building, and reviewing editorial updates and deadlines.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Have professional experience in nursing, healthcare administration, or other medical field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associate's Degree in Nursing, or equivalent nursing education resulting in RN/LPN/CNA licensure required.
  • 2+ years of experience writing content for online media with demonstrated success in audience acquisition for a public-facing website.
  • Excellent English-language writing skills, with ability to write in a conversational tone and demonstrated ability to successfully write for the web.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and SEO.
