We are seeking a Part-Time Remote Patient Care Coordinator for our high-volume private practice psychiatry office. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service and assist with the administrative operations of the practice. This role is remote, offering flexibility, and will require a commitment of approximately 20-25 hours per week. Candidates based in the Raleigh-Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill area are preferred, as the position may include occasional hybrid training or in-office visits in the future. This is an excellent opportunity to join a new medical practice with the potential for growth.Responsibilities:
ΓΒ Answer multiple phone lines and respond to emails within a timely manner
ΓΒ Communicate with current and prospective patients through email and phone
ΓΒ Schedule patient visits and answer pre-visit questions
ΓΒ Act as communication aid liaison between patients and healthcare providers by keeping the lines of communication flowing by properly taking messages and routing to the appropriate party within the practice
ΓΒ Address and respond to patient requests and needs in a professional and timely manner to ensure patient satisfaction
ΓΒ Ensure complete and accurate patient registration, which includes recording a patientΓΒs health, demographic, and insurance information
ΓΒ Manage patient accounts with contact information, insurance and financial information in a confidential manner
ΓΒ Utilize electronic systems that include but are not limited to: EHR, fax, and multi-line phone system
ΓΒ Work as a team player to ensure each patient receives the best service possible
ΓΒ Assist in processing outgoing and incoming referrals
ΓΒ Upload documents into patient charts
ΓΒ Ensure compliance with professional standards while following practice guidelines, healthcare laws, and regulations
ΓΒ Adheres to all HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
ΓΒ Maintain professional demeanor and interface well with patients in a mental-health setting
ΓΒ Assist with other administrative tasks as needed by your manager
Qualifications:
ΓΒ Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
ΓΒ Experience working front desk in medical office, administrative roles and/or customer service roles
ΓΒ Medical office knowledge and/or experience
ΓΒ Mental health knowledge and/or experience is highly preferred
ΓΒ Insurance knowledge and/or experience is highly preferred
ΓΒ Highly organized with a strong ability to manage different priorities while bringing tasks to completion
ΓΒ Ability to work with others and use resources to problem solve
ΓΒ Apply good judgement to fast-changing situations
ΓΒ Strong customer service skills and exceptional phone presence are a must
ΓΒ Effective verbal and written communication skills
ΓΒ Effective collaborator and works well with a team of other caretakers
ΓΒ Strong computer and data entry skills required
ΓΒ Punctual, reliable and flexible
