Position Overview:
We are actively hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a school-based position in Elmira, NY. This role begins as soon as possible and will run through August 15, 2025, with the potential for renewal if it’s a strong match for both you and the district.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, totaling 32 hours per week. The position pays $35–$45 per hour, based on your experience and licensure.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing services to students during school hours
- Administer medications and monitor chronic health conditions
- Respond to student illnesses and injuries, following school protocols
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and healthcare providers
- Support the overall health and safety of the school environment
- Requirements:
- Active New York RN or LPN license (unrestricted)
- CPR certification
- School-based or pediatric experience is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
