Descriptions:-
The Sensory Lab Testing Technician will be responsible for supporting sensory testing activities and assisting with the maintenance of the R&D sensory lab.
Job Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of R&D sensory lab
- Assist with maintenance of sensory lab (monitoring inventories of supplies, maintaining lab equipment, keeping lab clean and organized)
- Assist sensory scientists with the set-up and execution of sensory tests (discrimination testing, attribute descriptive panels, shelf life testing, packaging usability testing) including but not limited to:
- Upkeep of sensory lab panel schedule
- Panel scheduling
- Product labeling
- Product storage
- Preparation of panel samples/reference solutions/materials
- Labeling cups
- Pouring samples
- Serving samples
- Operation of laptops and associated data gathering software
- Operation of coffee brewers
- Taking care of incoming/outgoing sensory product shipments
- Submitting samples for concurrent analytical chemistry through LIMS portal
- Coordination and prioritization of testing based on direction from sensory scientists
