About the position
- Responsibilities
- Provide support for customers and assigned applications, including software implementation, integration, configuration, and testing.
- Support solution design and translate requirements into workable technical solutions.
- Evaluate third-party vendors as directed.
- Complete work assignments and support business-specific projects by applying expertise in the subject area.
- Develop work plans to meet business priorities and deadlines.
- Coordinate and assign resources to accomplish priorities and deadlines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to make effective business decisions.
- Solve complex problems and escalate high-priority issues or risks as appropriate.
- Recognize and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
- Promote learning in others by providing information, resources, and expertise.
- Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and influence others through technical explanations.
- Develop requirements for complex process or system solutions by interfacing with stakeholders and IT teams.
- Lead junior team members in the development process as appropriate.
- Leverage multiple business requirements gathering methodologies to identify business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Develop and document comprehensive business cases to assess costs, benefits, ROI, and TCO of proposed solutions.
- Provide insight and support the evolution of applications, systems, and processes to a desired future state.
- Map current state against future state processes and identify the impact of requirements on solution components.
- Provide recommendations on integrating requirements with current systems and business processes.
- Identify and validate value gaps and opportunities for process enhancements or efficiencies.
- Support continuous process improvement by participating in the development and maintenance of standardized tools, templates, and processes.
- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS or related field.
- Minimum of six (6) years experience in IT consulting, business analysis, or a related field.
- Two (2) years experience in software or system testing across multiple IT environments.
- Three (3) years experience working for an IT organization.
- Two (2) years experience working on projects requiring integration of cross-functional technology and/or business solutions.
- Two (2) years experience in workflow analysis, including the use of modeling software (e.g., Visio).
- Two (2) years in a leadership role working with project or technical teams.
- Two (2) years experience in business case development and analysis.
- Two (2) years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership.
- Four (4) years consulting experience in hospital operations.
- Three (3) years experience in solutioning process/service metrics and reporting.
- Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS or related field.
- Two (2) years software or application development experience.
- Two (2) years experience in asset management.
- Three (3) years experience working for a health care organization.
