About the position

Pantheon Data is seeking an IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Administrator to support a large-scale cloud migration project. The role involves deep expertise in administering and managing IBM WebSphere environments, particularly in migrating from on-premises AIX-based platforms to AWS GovCloud on RHEL8.

Lead the migration and administration of IBM WebSphere Application Server environments from on-prem environments with AIX-based platforms to AWS GovCloud on RHEL8.
Configure and optimize IBM WebSphere instances in the AWS environment, including setting up clusters, managing resources, and ensuring optimal performance.
Collaborate with IBM Content Manager, DB2, and AWS teams to ensure successful integration and system operation post-migration.
Implement security measures, including SSL/TLS and identity management solutions, in accordance with DoD standards and AWS security best practices.
Monitor WebSphere environments for performance issues and potential risks, addressing them proactively to ensure high availability.
Document WebSphere configurations, migration processes, and best practices to facilitate knowledge transfer and operational support.
Provide application support and troubleshooting support during and after migration.

Minimum of 5 years of experience administering IBM WebSphere Application Server environments.
At least 3 years of experience with cloud-based deployments, preferably in AWS or AWS GovCloud.
Strong understanding of RHEL and AIX systems.
Experience with middleware integration, performance tuning, and automation tools.
Familiarity with DoD security compliance standards and government cloud solutions.

IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere Application Server.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization of WebSphere in cloud environments.
