Who are we?
xOrbita is building a compact imaging CubeSat for low Earth orbit. We're currently in the early stages of hardware integration, and we're looking for someone to help make sure our electrical systems can actually work together and support the mission.
- Responsibilities
- Assist in mapping out power distribution across the satellite
- Contribute to wiring diagrams and port/interface planning between subsystems
- Work with the mechanical and software teams to ensure electrical feasibility
- Flag and resolve potential integration issues (voltage mismatches, pinouts, etc.)
- Support ongoing decisions around board compatibility, sensors, and payload integration
- What we're looking for
- Understanding of electrical system design in embedded or satellite environments
- Familiarity with power regulation, battery management, and interfacing components
- Comfortable working without a finalized stack ā some parts are still being decided
- Able to think across mechanical, electrical, and software boundaries
- Bonus: (Not required)
- Experience with CubeSats, small satellite hardware, or aerospace systems
- Ability to create clean documentation and explain tradeoffs clearly
