Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
Management and development of design services for clients. Production of design, architectural details and documents relating to them. Staff hiring, training and development of team, including client relationships.
- Special Functions:
- Serve as one of the firm’s primary contacts with clients. This includes maintaining existing clients, assisting with proposal details, determining client needs and providing services to fulfill those needs.
- Oversee the design team and management to meet the department’s objectives with performance and financial expectations.
- Project management of internal and external projects.
- Ensure effective use of latest technology for maximum efficiency and state-of-the-art design.
- Coordinate preparation of presentation materials, construction plans, specifications and other project documents to ensure a high degree of detail, accuracy and professionalism.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure adherence to project documents.
- Track time and expenses for each project and compare to budget to ensure profitability and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate time records for all members of the department and prepare monthly billings
- Overnight travel will be required occasionally.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- At least 5 years of project design, specification writing and project supervision with commercial clients
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD
- *Open to hybrid or remote positions, however in person is strongly preferred**
