About the position
- Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations of the back office across all specialty departments
- Supervise, train, and evaluate medical assistants and other support staff
- Collaborate with medical directors to implement and maintain clinical protocols and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize scheduling processes
- Act as a liaison between clinical staff, administrative staff, and patients
- Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives
- Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of back office staff
- Address and resolve patient complaints and concerns
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Any and all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and healthcare regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in quality improvement and process optimization
- Familiarity with multiple medical specialties, particularly Psychology, PM&R, Neurology, and Psychiatry.
