Must have at least 2 years of hand on Underwriting experience in health insurance.
- What You'll Do
- Evaluate applications and supporting documents to assess risk and determine eligibility for coverage.
- Make underwriting decisions based on established guidelines, pricing strategies, and risk appetite.
- Collaborate with senior underwriters to review complex cases or escalate exceptions.
- Ensure accurate documentation and input of underwriting decisions into internal systems.
- Assist with identifying trends or patterns in underwriting outcomes and contribute ideas for process improvements.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., sales, claims, operations) to support a consistent and efficient customer experience.
- What You'll Bring
- 2+ years of underwriting experience (insurance underwriting required)
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and eagerness to learn
- Basic understanding of insurance products and underwriting principles
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and balance multiple tasks effectively

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
