Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in a 100% remote capacity, serving students in Colorado. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs and goals
- Provide specialized instruction and adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of your students
- Create a supportive and inclusive virtual classroom environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to develop effective strategies and interventions that drive student success
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings to ensure students receive the support they need
- Stay current on the latest research, best practices, and legal requirements in special education to ensure instruction remains effective and compliant
Ideal Candidate:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (master's degree preferred)
- A valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a remote or similar setting
- A strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
