Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Telecommunicator to join our team at Cityblock Health, Inc. As a Telecommunicator, you will play a vital role in assessing the needs of our members, providing exceptional customer service, and coordinating care to ensure the best possible outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the reason for caller's inbound communication and manage their emotional state
- Gather and transcribe key information necessary for care coordination and guide callers through intake and triage processes
- Identify risks of imminent life threats, self-harm, or harm to others and direct questioning and notifications as needed
- Complete assessment tools and documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain confidentiality and privacy of member information
- Work effectively in a remote environment, requiring independence and self-governance
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education, plus completion of a medical assisting program, Emergency Medical Technician course, or Public Safety Telecommunicator academy
- Preferred: Associate's Degree or higher
- At least 2 years of experience as a Lead Advanced Life Support provider, Emergency Medical Technician, medical assistant, or medical secretary
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including comprehension of medical terminology and common prescription medications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail
