Role Overview:
We're seeking a highly motivated and organized Data Governance & Management Analyst to join our team at American Express. As a key member of our Financial Data Governance Group, you will play a crucial role in defining the future of data management in finance and ensuring the use of reliable information for critical processes, decision-making, and accountability.
Job Summary:
- Manage financial data in accordance with the company's data management policy
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualization packages to support business processes
- Conduct root cause analysis of data quality issues and improve management's analysis and response
- Support strategic improvements to the data monitoring process and enhance data quality and analysis tools
- Collaborate with various teams, including finance technology change, corporate data management, and risk management

Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in finance and management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Motivated and hard-working, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to gather business needs and guide the implementation of technical solutions
- Previous experience in implementing data management and quality programs is preferred
- Familiarity with Agile or SAFE workflows is a plus
