Job Description
We are a US-based company looking to hire an experienced Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to work with our team remotely. The role involves handling billing, coding, and insurance claims for US healthcare providers.
Responsibilities:
- Review and assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes accurately
- Prepare and submit insurance claims (Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers)
- Manage denials, rejections, and follow-ups
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
- Maintain billing records and generate reports
Requirements:
- Proven experience in medical billing and/or coding (2+ years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of US healthcare reimbursement systems
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Kareo, Athena, DrChrono, eClinicalWorks, etc.)
- CPC, CCS, or other recognized certification is a plus
- Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken)
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work US hours if needed
