Requirements

    Key Responsibilities
  • Engineer scalable pipelines with SQL, PySpark, Delta Live Tables, and Databricks Workflows
  • Orchestrate workflows with Airflow or Databricks Jobs, with SLA - aware retries and alerting
  • Model data using dimensional schemas, Unity Catalog, and Great Expectations
  • Build Power BI dashboards, semantic models, paginated reports, and fine-grained security layers
  • Migrate SSRS reports to Power BI - preserving all business logic and compliance constraints
  • Optimize cost and performance - cache tuning, partitioning, capacity management
  • Document everything - pipeline logic, DAX rules, RLS - stored in Git and versioned formats
  • Collaborate across teams to translate product analytics into governed BI assets
  • Mentor teammates by reviewing notebooks, dashboards, and platform standards
    Must-Have Skills
  • 5 - 9 years in analytics engineering; 3+ in Databricks/Spark environments
  • Advanced SQL (window functions, joins), expert PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog
  • Deep Power BI skills - DAX, RLS, paginated reports, semantic modeling
  • Proven SSRS-to-Power BI migration experience (replicating RDL logic)
  • Strong with Git, CI/CD, and public cloud (Azure/AWS)
  • Clear communicator - able to bridge technical teams and business stakeholders
