- Description:
- Serve as a subject matter expert and as a resource for physicians and medical directors.
- Navigate the complexities of a large corporation to help take advantage of all available resources.
- Mentor medical directors.
- Participate in Peer Review/Governing Body when needed.
- Drive clinical outcomes, such as Clinical Leaderboard, Dashboard and DaVita Quality Index (DQI) results.
- Provide teammate and physician education.
- Actively support the admissions process and be directly involved in medical director admission denials.
- Assist with development and execution of clinical initiatives.
- Requirements:
- The optimal employed Group Medical Director (GMD) has been a practicing nephrologist with experience as a dialysis medical director.
- The GMD should meet all of the requirements of DaVita employment, including but not limited to regular compliance, HIPAA, and other workplace training.
