Job Description
Travelport is a technology company that simplifies travel bookings for customers. The Account Manager will manage and grow relationships with existing customers while also focusing on acquiring new business, primarily through telephone and video communication.
Responsibilities
- Account Management
- The role of the Account Manager is to retain and grow the profitable customer base and to maintain loyalty through pro-active account management. There will also be a requirement to sell new products and solutions to this customer base. This is the key part of the role and makes up 85% of the daily activities
- New Business
- Obtaining new business with the overall objective to grow revenue. The role will focus on identifying, qualifying, driving, and ultimately closing opportunities over the telephone. This is the secondary part of the role and makes up 15% of the daily activities
- Relationships
- Developing high value relationships falls across all activities. We develop relationships with customers, prospects and internally, identifying and defining customer needs, articulating the Travelport value proposition, differentiating from the competition and ultimately positioning Travelport as a strategic technology partner
Skills
- Good interpersonal skills, possessing a high degree of self-motivation, confidence, assertiveness and an ability to respond to rapidly changing environments
- Demonstrates excellent account/relationship management, having developed, and cultivated lasting customer relationships
- Thrives when figuring things out and likes a challenge
- Must be able to manage time effectively, work with minimum supervision and be a team player
- Committed to excellence in Account Management, Sales, and Customer Service, and must possess reserves of energy, enthusiasm, and a positive approach
