Overview JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a US based remote position. The Accountant is responsible for preparing and recording journal entries, while supporting month end close procedures within the Accounting department. Reconciles balance sheet accounts, maintains accounting schedules, and records and performs financial analysis as needed. Responsibility • Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger. • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. • Complete balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure balances are accurately stated in accordance with GAAP, statutory, and company policies.
• Perform financial analysis to identify and resolve differences. • Assist with audits by providing requested documentation to the auditors. • Assist the Accounting Manager with maintaining the Prepaid Schedules, and recording the related transactions. • Support the team with ad-hoc projects. • Maintain accounting schedules and reports. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. • 2+ years of experience in accounting. • Experience using bolthires Office Products, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn necessary computer programs quickly and efficiently. • Ability to follow established policies and procedures to complete assignments with a high level of accuracy. • Superior professional demeanor with good organizational skills. Physical Requirements Lifting Requirements – light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements – stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, pushing or pulling, and reaching. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
