At Brightway Advisors, we help small to mid-sized businesses manage their accounting with accuracy, insight, and care. We are looking for a Financial Operations Associate (FOA) to join our fully remote team.
This is more than a transactional accounting role. You will work directly with clients, support their financial operations, and build trusted relationships. We believe in promoting from within, so this role offers a clear path to a Senior Associate position and, for those interested, future management opportunities.

- What You’ll Do
- Handle accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and monthly closings
- Support client onboarding and ongoing engagement
- Prepare and analyze financial reports
- Assist with payroll and HR administration tasks
- Manage client communications through email and other channels
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality client service
- Suggest improvements and identify ways to add client value
- Engage in training, feedback, and continuing education
- What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Current QuickBooks Online Certification, or willingness to obtain one prior to starting (certification can be completed for free with a QuickBooks Online account)
- At least 5 years of transactional accounting experience, ideally with small to mid-sized businesses
- Prior experience in a multi-client environment strongly preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or other cloud-based accounting systems
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and client service mindset
- Comfort working independently in a remote setting

- Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check
