Job Description

Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Operations Liaison to serve as a key connection point between Accounting and both internal and external partners. The role involves supporting loan administration, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing guidance on accounting-related questions to ensure a positive experience for stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Lead loan administration activities, including disbursements, maintaining loan schedules, and supporting collection efforts for loans in default
  • Partner closely with the Business Development team to calculate internal and external recruiter bonus payments and communicate details to appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Serve as a trusted accounting resource for internal and external customers, providing guidance on accounting policies and processes to support a positive, solutions-oriented experience
  • Maintain and update accounting database systems (including Workday), ensuring accuracy of daily transactions, schedules, and general ledger entries
  • Facilitate the quarterly note review process by gathering required documentation, coordinating communication, organizing materials, and administering review meetings
  • Perform calculating, posting, reconciling, and verification activities to ensure accurate financial data and accounting records
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information with care, maintaining the security of financial data and files
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within accounting and finance operations
