Job Description

They are seeking an Accounting Specialist (Accounts Payable) to support the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate processing of invoices and supplier payments while assisting in financial planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Process a high volume of invoices with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ensure invoices are matched to the correct purchase order, including quantity and price considerations
Resolve issues associated with the processing of invoices
Check supplier statements and reconcile them with our AP records
Respond to supplier inquiries on time
Prepare and process supplier payments
Review and approve employee expense reports through Concur
Generate and analyze accounts payable reports to support financial planning and decision-making
Assist in the month-end closing process by ensuring all accounts payable transactions are recorded accurately and timely, and by preparing necessary reports and reconciliations
Support additional projects as requested by management

Skills

1- 3 years of accounts payable experience
Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Oracle ERP and SAP Concur) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and accounts payable best practices
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent analytical and strong problem-solving skills are a must, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
College Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
