The Administration Specialist in Group Claims Admin Services provides comprehensive financial administrative support for disability and health claims, manages high-volume transactional work, and responds to complex inquiries from plan sponsors and members.
Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in payment and tax functions specific to the Group Disability environment
- Apply technical knowledge to understand how transactions impact tax slip production and financial control accounts
- Receive and respond to complex and escalated inquiries from plan sponsors and members
- Manage high-volume, transactional work with a positive and proactive approach
- Process transactions accurately under limited direction, using critical judgment to protect financial records and member claim taxation
Skills
- Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment
- Strong knowledge of Group Business operations
- Good working knowledge of Sun Life Administrative Systems: Genesis, Chess, and Oasis
