Part-Time Lecturer PoolPOSITIONThe Department of African American Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer pool.We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student centered to teach in the following subject areas:
- African American Culture
- African American History
- African American Literature
- Ethnic Studies
- Candidates must hold at least a Master's degree in African American Studies, Ethnic Studies, or a related field.
- Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
- PhD in African American Studies, Ethnic Studies, or a related field
- Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
- Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities. Preference will be given to scholars demonstrating innovative approaches to interdisciplinary pedagogy.

Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $6,221 per monthThe full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. The Department of African American Studies is an interdisciplinary intellectual community committed to advancing knowledge about black people in the United States, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, and Africa. The department strives to interrogate the historical meanings and dimensions of slavery, colonialism, resistance, and freedom, and to explore their implications for contemporary political, social, and cultural expressions of black identity.
