We are looking for a highly capable AI Automation Engineer / AI Systems Builder to help us design and implement AI-powered systems and agents across our business.
This role is not about simple prompts or basic ChatGPT usage. We are looking for someone who can build end-to-end automation systems, connect tools together, and implement AI agents that monitor operations, automate workflows, and generate reports for our team.
Our goal is to create a highly optimized, AI-enabled company where many operational tasks are automated and monitored by intelligent systems.
We are looking for someone who enjoys building practical AI infrastructure, solving operational problems, and working long-term with a growing company.
About Our Business
We are an e-commerce fashion brand operating internationally with fulfillment partners, suppliers, and multiple operational systems (Shopify, logistics platforms, finance tools, etc.).
As we grow, we want to build internal AI systems that automate operational monitoring, reporting, and workflows across the company.
This will start with a few key systems, and expand over time.
What We Want to Build
You will help us design and implement AI agents and automation systems that monitor operations and support our team.
Examples include:
AI Logistics Monitoring System
An AI system that monitors logistics operations and sends automated reports.
- Example features:
- Monitor Shopify orders
- Detect held or delayed shipments
- Track shipment status from our fulfillment partner
- Monitor courier account balances
- Flag anomalies in shipping costs
- Generate daily and weekly logistics reports
- Maintain a logistics performance dashboard
AI Finance Monitoring System
Automate finance tracking and anomaly detection.
- Examples:
- Monitor incoming invoices from email
- Extract invoice data and add to expense trackers
- Flag unusual spending
- Track logistics costs
- Monitor cash flow summaries
- Generate weekly finance reports
AI Email Management System
AI system to assist with inbox organization.
- Examples:
- Monitor incoming emails
- Categorize and prioritize messages
- Highlight important operational issues
- Identify invoices, logistics updates, or supplier communication
- Automatically organize emails into categories
AI Customer Issue Monitoring
Support our customer experience team.
- Examples:
- Monitor customer emails or support channels
- Identify shipping complaints
- Flag urgent customer issues
- Detect refund patterns
- Generate daily summaries for the team
AI Operations Dashboard
Create automated reporting dashboards.
- Examples:
- Daily operations summary
- Weekly founder report
- Logistics dashboard
- Customer service metrics
- Finance summaries
These reports should be automatically generated and delivered via Slack, email, or dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Design and build AI-powered automation systemsâ¨â˘ Create custom AI agents to monitor operational dataâ¨â˘ Connect multiple platforms via APIsâ¨â˘ Build automated reporting and dashboardsâ¨â˘ Implement workflow automation across the companyâ¨â˘ Recommend the best tools and architectureâ¨â˘ Document systems so the team understands how they workâ¨â˘ Train team members on how to use new systemsâ¨â˘ Provide occasional ongoing support and improvements
Required Skills
We are looking for someone with real automation and systems experience.
Strong experience with:
- OpenAI / ChatGPT APIsâ¨â˘ Claude / modern LLM platformsâ¨â˘ automation tools (Zapier, Make, n8n, etc.)â¨â˘ API integrationsâ¨â˘ Python or other scripting languagesâ¨â˘ building internal automation toolsâ¨â˘ workflow automation
Experience working with:
- Shopify API (preferred)â¨â˘ Slack integrationsâ¨â˘ data dashboardsâ¨â˘ operational automation systems
Bonus experience:
- AI agentsâ¨â˘ multi-step workflow automationâ¨â˘ ecommerce operations automationâ¨â˘ logistics automation systems
What We Are NOT Looking For
We are not looking for:
- basic prompt engineeringâ¨â˘ ChatGPT-only consultantsâ¨â˘ people who cannot build real systemsâ¨â˘ theoretical AI advisors
We want hands-on builders who can actually implement working solutions.
How We Want to Work Together
This will begin as an initial project to build our first AI systems.
If successful, we are looking for a long-term relationship where you:
- continue building new systems and AI agentsâ¨â˘ help us automate more areas of the companyâ¨â˘ provide occasional support and improvementsâ¨â˘ assist with onboarding new team members to systemsâ¨â˘ help maintain and evolve our automation infrastructure
Think of this role as AI systems architect + implementation partner.
Project Structure
Initial phase:
- Review our business workflowsâ¨â˘ Design AI automation architectureâ¨â˘ Build the first automation systemsâ¨â˘ Train our team to use them
Ongoing phase:
- Expand automation across the businessâ¨â˘ Maintain systemsâ¨â˘ Improve workflowsâ¨â˘ Build additional AI agents as needed
