Job Title: Amazon Connect Engineer (Terraform Specialist) Location: Remote,USA Employment Type:Contract Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Amazon Connect Engineer with expertise in Terraform to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud-based contact center solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in deploying and customizing Amazon Connect environments, integrating with other AWS services, and automating infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
Key Responsibilities
Β Amazon Connect Implementation:
Β Design, configure, and deploy Amazon Connect contact center solutions to meet business needs.
Β Build and optimize contact flows, IVRs, routing profiles, and queues.
Β Integrate Amazon Connect with other AWS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudWatch.
Β Implement solutions for call recording, sentiment analysis, and reporting using tools like Contact Lens and CloudWatch Metrics.
Β Terraform Automation:
Β Develop and maintain Terraform scripts to automate Amazon Connect infrastructure deployment and management.
Β Create reusable Terraform modules to enable efficient and consistent provisioning.
Β Ensure Terraform code is modular, secure, and adheres to best practices.
Β Integration & Development:
Β Collaborate with development teams to integrate Amazon Connect with external CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk) and third-party systems.
Β Write and optimize AWS Lambda functions using Python or Node.js for custom workflows and event triggers.
Β Monitoring & Optimization:
Β Monitor Amazon Connect performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations for efficiency and scalability.
Β Use analytics tools to measure performance metrics and implement improvements.
Β Documentation & Collaboration:
Β Create detailed documentation for infrastructure designs, Terraform modules, and operational processes.
Β Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, software development, and customer support teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Β Amazon Connect Expertise:
Β Proven experience implementing and managing Amazon Connect solutions.
Β In-depth knowledge of contact flow design, IVRs, and queue/routing configurations.
Β Terraform Proficiency:
Β Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Terraform scripts for AWS infrastructure.
Β Familiarity with Terraform best practices, state management, and version control tools like Git.
Β AWS Knowledge:
Β Strong understanding of AWS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
Β AWS certification (Solutions Architect, Developer, or Advanced Networking) is a plus.
Β Programming Skills:
Β Proficiency in Python or Node.js for developing Lambda functions and custom scripts.
Β Soft Skills:
Β Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Β Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Β Detail-oriented with the ability to document and present solutions clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
Β Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.
Β Knowledge of VoIP, SIP, and telephony integrations.
Β Familiarity with AWS CloudFormation and API Gateway for advanced solutions.
Β Understanding of security and compliance best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
