The California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is seeking an Analyst for the Energy and Climate Unit. This role involves supporting the unit's work through analytical tasks, data tracking, and administrative functions related to clean energy infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Providing analytical and administrative functions that support the work of the Energy and Climate Unit Tracking key data on clean energy infrastructure projects Reviewing and analyzing sensitive materials and applicable rules/laws Keeping team members informed of pending legislation and relevant informational updates that could impact projects Less complex administrative duties as assigned Skills Direct supervision from the Manager of the Energy and Climate Unit General program direction from the Deputy Director of the Energy and Climate Unit Providing analytical and administrative functions that support the work of the Energy and Climate Unit Tracking key data on clean energy infrastructure projects Reviewing and analyzing sensitive materials and applicable rules/laws Keeping team members informed of pending legislation and relevant informational updates that could impact projects Less complex administrative duties as assigned Hybrid telework schedule with in-person reporting at headquarters in Sacramento two times a week New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable Unless you have transfer or reinstatement eligibility, please take the Staff Services Analyst exam to obtain eligibility for this position If you are using education as your basis of meeting the minimum qualifications, you must provide school transcripts Interested applicants must fill out the 'Employment History' section of the State Application (STD 678) with all relevant experience to be considered for this position Applications will be screened and only the most qualified applicants will be selected to move forward in the selection process Complete Application Packages must be submitted to Posting Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 is required Resume is required and must be included Statement of Qualifications must be submitted addressing specific duties and responsibilities of this position Applicants requiring reasonable accommodations for the hiring interview process must request the necessary accommodations if scheduled for a hiring interview Company Overview
