About the position
- Responsibilities
- Support senior finance consulting team members on various public sector projects.
- Analyze data to inform stakeholders and execute payments.
- Complete bank reconciliations with high attention to detail.
- Perform quality assurance reviews for government cost studies.
- Assist in monitoring projects reviewing spending activities of grant recipients.
- Manage and maintain grant payment trackers in Excel.
- Create payment batches for import to banking systems and produce notices to award recipients.
- Perform quality control procedures over payment data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in preparation of ad hoc reports for project managers and finance team leaders.
- Participate in weekly internal and client-facing project calls.
- Assist with monthly reconciliation of bank accounts for grant funds management.
- Assist in the creation of process workflow documents.
- Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially for data analysis and reporting.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement and quality assurance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills to form relationships across various organizational levels.
