As an Analyst in GeoAnalytics, you will solve location-based analytical problems using geospatial data and analytics tools, contributing to IP and content development while supporting internal marketing efforts. Responsibilities Solving a variety of location-based analytical problems for our clients Utilize your knowledge of geospatial data and analytics while using tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Python, and visualization/analytical platforms (ex.
Tableau, Alteryx) Leverage a range of techniques such as geospatial clustering, network analysis, location-based optimization and predictive analytics/modeling Distill insights from your analysis and link them to business objectives Contribute to IP development, content development, and support internal marketing Skills 1-3 years of relevant work experience in GeoAnalytics with advanced degree preferred Relevant degree in geospatial related field such as: Geography, Geology, Environmental Science,
Remote Sensing, Urban Planning, Statistics/GeoStatistics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science Demonstrated experience in conducting web-based research for open data sources; handling, understanding, and assessing new datasets; and stitching together disparate datasets to conduct custom analyses Applying use geospatial data, tools, and technology to solve problems for businesses across multiple topics Technical experience in GIS software such as ESRI ArcGIS or QGIS Descriptive statistics and statistical methods (e.g.
correlation, regression, clustering, etc.) with applications in machine learning Data management skills (e.g. data modeling, QA/QC, querying, analysis) Data science programming/coding in Python and/or R including use of spatial libraries/packages (eg GeoPandas, Rasterio, GDAL/OGR, Terra..) Business Intelligence/data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, etc Previous experience working in a global organization or professional services firm is preferred
