Analyst, Geoscience Platforms

The Analyst, Geoscience Platforms will transform complex geoscience data into strategic operational value by developing applications, integrating data sources, and delivering analytics and machine learning solutions that support both research and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using the .NET platform to support geoscience workflows and internal tooling
• Create APIs that integrate external vendor data with internal geoscience tools
• Build and maintain BI dashboards and reports to visualize geoscience information
• Analyze geoscience data to extract insights that improve decision-making
• Develop and implement machine learning models to improve predictive insights
• Integrate data from various sources to build complete and accurate datasets
• Partner with geoscientists, engineers, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver tailored solutions
• Support implementation and maintenance of a geoscience data lake
• Stay current with advancements in data analysis, BI, and ML to continuously enhance solutions
• Document processes, models, and applications for transparency and reproducibility

Skills

• Ability to work with .NET applications, SQL Server databases, and BI platforms
• Strong foundation in data analysis, business intelligence, and application development
• Skills in building dashboards, developing applications, and managing structured data
• Experience applying programming and data concepts to support reports, models, and dashboards
• Ability to perform basic data validation and troubleshoot routine technical issues
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities to partner across disciplines
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and methods with support from senior team members
