About the position
The position involves managing software licenses, entitlements, and renewals, ensuring compliance with software agreements, and supporting internal stakeholders in software management processes. The role requires collaboration with various departments, including Procurement, Finance, and IT, to optimize software lifecycle management. The candidate will be expected to report to the Jersey City, NJ office 2-3 times a week. Responsibilities • Track and manage software licenses, entitlements, and renewals.
• Reconcile and optimize software licenses and subscriptions. • Support compliance audits and remediation activities. • Maintain accurate records in SAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow SAM Module). • Generate timely reports on software usage, compliance, and optimization opportunities. • Assist with procurement processes, including vendor communications, quote requests, and purchase order processing. • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and IT for efficient software lifecycle management. • Manage and support the software request processes within ServiceNow.
Requirements • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). • Minimum 2 years' experience in Software Asset Management or related roles. • Familiarity with SAM tools (ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow). • Experience with software license models and compliance management. • Proficiency in MS Excel and data management tools. • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Nice-to-haves • Prior experience in IT procurement processes. • Understanding of software publisher licensing agreements (e.g., Adobe, JetBrains, Postman).
