What We Offer: The Application Programming Interface Engineer is responsible for CI/CD pipelines, environment management, and deployment automation for healthcare integration platforms. Ensures reliable code promotion and platform stability. This is a Remote Position. Candidates can be located in any state EXCEPT NY, NJ, IL, and CA. ā Candidates MUST have 5 years of experience in professional experience in software engineering, system integration, or platform engineering What We're Looking For: Education : 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. Experience : 5 years of experience in professional experience in software engineering, system integration, or platform engineering, required. Licensure/Certification: Epic Bridges Certification, preferred. FHIR, preferred. Additional Skills (required): Demonstrated experience developing and supporting enterpriseāgrade APIs and/or healthcare integrations. Experience supporting production systems with operational accountability, including onācall support. Strong proficiency with Java (17+) and Spring Boot for enterprise API development. Experience with RESTful APIs and data formats including HL7, XML, JSON, and FHIR. MS SQL Server experience, including schema design and data validation. Proven troubleshooting and analytical problemāsolving skills. Experience supporting production environments and meeting SLA expectations. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a teamāoriented, fastāpaced environment. Additional Skills (preferred): Healthcare environment experience strongly preferred. Handsāon experience with InterSystems HealthConnect Cloud (IHCC) or similar interface engines. Understanding of HL7 v2.x message structure (segments, fields, delimiters). Experience supporting Epic Bridges or other EHR integration frameworks. Exposure to message mapping and data transformations. Familiarity with healthcare workflows (registration, orders, results). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments. What You'll Do: Design, build, test, deploy, and support system integration and API solutions using HL7, FHIR, and Spring Boot technologies Collaborate with crossāfunctional teams including architects, analysts, vendors, and application teams to design integration and API solutions Provide postāimplementation support for realātime and batch integrations and APIs Maintain accurate technical documentation, data flows, and interface inventories Assist in creation and maintenance of change control and deployment documentation Participate in Agile methodologies and structured project management approaches Prioritize and triage work to meet delivery and operational timelines
