J.S. Held LLC is a global consulting firm that combines technical, scientific, financial, and strategic expertise to advise clients. They are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Architectural & Building Technologist to work alongside their team on building projects, focusing on code compliance and site reviews.
Responsibilities
- Build Code review of drawings, shop drawings, etc
- Prepare Code compliance drawings, reports, letters, alternative solutions, etc
- Conduct site reviews and prepare field review reports
- Attend meetings, presentations, occupancy demonstrations, etc
Skills
- A graduated Technician or Technologist with educational focus in Architectural and Building Technologies (experience in Civil, Mechanical and Structural disciplines is an asset)
- Experience using Bluebeam, Adobe, AutoCAD LT, Sketchup, Excel, Word, etc
- Knowledge of Parts 3 and/or 9 of the Building Code
- Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing)
- Ability to read and interpret building design drawings (drafting skills are an asset)
- Team oriented and able to work individually
- Hold a valid BC Driver's License
- Must be able to commute and work in person on a hybrid schedule in our Vancouver office
- Must be able to travel to different regions within the British Colombia, and across Canada
