Job description: Assistant Actuary needed for an Insurance Carrier Hybrid / Remote!This carrier is a west coast-based organization and this position can be filled from one of these offices:
Reno, NV
Monterey, CA.
Phoenix, AZ
- HOURS: Monday Friday, 8 am 5 pm (flexibility offered)
- DURATION: Direct Hire
- WORKPLACE: This role can be Hybrid from any of these areas: Monterey CA, Reno NV or Phoenix AZ. If you live in the Phoenix area it will be a 100% remote role until the Phoenix office opens, and then it will be Hybrid role (remote work on Tuesdays and Thursdays)
- PAY: $90,000 - $135,000 per year, depending on experience.
- To qualify for $105k, plus, the qualified candidate must have a minimum of 6 years recent experience working as an Actuary.

You will work alongside individuals in various cities. Seeking someone who excels as a decision enabler, and can effectively collect and communicate results to key stakeholders. Projects assigned will come from multiple actuarial disciplines.Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelors or Masters degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or related quantitative subjects.
- 4+ years of Actuarial experience with progressively increasing levels of responsibility required.
- Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) preferred.
- Extensive experience using SQL and a comprehensive understanding of relational databases is required.
- Advanced knowledge of R, Python, or other statistical software is highly preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of Tableau or another data visualization software is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to implement findings from predictive modeling analyses.
- Must be a leader able to foster growth and provide mentorship to junior members of the team.
- Complies with professionalism standards set by the Casualty Actuarial Society.
Expected salary: $90000 - 135000 per year
