About the position Responsibilities β’ Work synergistically with other team members to contribute to create a strong Procurement and Supply Chain team in Woven by Toyota U.S. and U.K. β’ Take ownership of the assigned scope of role and responsibility, to which a wide range of Procurement / Supply Chain actions including spend analysis, strategy creation and stakeholder alignment, supplier negotiations and selections through RFx, delivery management are required. β’ Help Team Manager to develop Procurement and Supply Chain strategies aligning with each business unit's goals and processes. β’ Run RFQs and/or RFPs and negotiate with suppliers to achieve best-in-industry costs and quality to meet targets and to achieve the expectations from business units. β’ Drive cost reduction through clean sheet analysis, and optimization of supplier base. β’ Must be willing to roll up their sleeves and complete multiple tasks under pressure, while assessing, managing and mitigating risks. β’ Negotiate and close contracts with suppliers at competitive price points at the speed required to support a growing business. β’ Communicate effectively at all levels and escalate issues appropriately. β’ Ensure compliance to Woven by Toyota's rules and policies by effectively communicating and educating members of business units. Requirements β’ Bachelor's/Master's degree in related fields. β’ Proven experience (5+ years) in Procurement / Supply Chain or strategic negotiation roles. β’ Experience in complex negotiations of a variety of contractual agreements with suppliers, including IP licensing-related agreements. β’ Profound understanding of the High-tech Silicon/Semiconductor industry. β’ Experience in driving RFPs/RFQs as a Procurement / Supply Chain member. β’ Deep knowledge in sourcing/purchasing, including Supplier Relationship Management. β’ Demonstrated success in a metrics-oriented environment and an ability to create, track, analyze, and report out on metrics. β’ Experience in using software tools for Procurement / Supply Chain to ensure a smooth procure-to-pay process by collaboratively working with Finance and stakeholders. β’ Outstanding skill for Internal and External Stakeholder Relationship Management. β’ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills; ability to evaluate and analyze data and to present to executive leadership with demonstrated skills of communication through documents (Google Slides/Docs). Nice-to-haves β’ Proven experience (3+ years) in autonomous vehicles or the software industry. β’ Passion for Technology and Mobility. β’ Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity and working in a diverse environment. β’ Demonstrate strong skills in supplier management, stakeholder engagement, and coordination. β’ Background in procurement of automotive software, contingent workers, facilities, and other IT-related commodities is a plus. β’ Background in international trading (import and export) is a plus. β’ Ability to speak, write, and understand Japanese is a plus. β’ MS Degree or MBA.
