As an Associate Analyst in Demand Planning, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of demand forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels and customer satisfaction. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will analyze historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to generate accurate demand forecasts. - Responsibilities
- Engage with sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather essential information for demand forecasting.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings, fostering effective communication and alignment on demand planning strategies.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and relevant factors to produce accurate and insightful demand forecasts.
- Monitor and report on forecast accuracy, proactively identifying and addressing discrepancies.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of demand planning tools and models.
- Utilize various analytical tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain teams to ensure seamless alignment between demand forecasts and inventory levels.
- Contribute to the development of strategies aimed at optimizing inventory and mitigating stockouts and overstock situations.
- Support the development of strategic initiatives to optimize inventory management.
- Contribute ideas and insights to the ongoing enhancement of demand planning strategies.
- Requirements
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to generate accurate demand forecasts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in demand forecasting.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- 0 – 2 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or a related role, or equivalent military or practical experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant analytical tools.
- Basic understanding of supply chain processes and principles.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
