ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - Tax - Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits (Junior)

Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking a junior to mid-level Associate Attorney to join their thrivingExecutive Compensation, Employment & Benefits practice. This is the perfect non-litigation role for a driven and detail-oriented attorney looking to work on complex, high-value transactions on a sophisticated employment and benefits team.
- Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction.
- 2+ years of substantive experience in benefits and compensation matters.
- Familiarity with benefits and compensation issues related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions.
- Strong research and writing skills with the ability to translate benefits and compensations concepts into practical guidance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on benefits and compensations aspects of a wide range of transactions, including corporate, M&A, private equity deals, financings, and restructurings.
- Work closely with corporate, finance, and real estate attorneys to provide integrated legal solutions.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda related to employment relationships and compliance
- Assist with drafting and negotiating offer letters, employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, separation agreements, and non-competes and other restrictive covenant, to ensure alignment with client objectives and legal requirements.

Compensation is highly competitive, with an annual salary range of $225,000-$365,000 (commensurate with experience), along with a robust benefits package that includes comprehensive healthcare, 401(k) and retirement plans, wellness initiatives, paid time off, and additional perks.
