The Associate Cloud Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines on bolthires Cloud Platform, ensuring data quality and enabling data-driven business decisions across various bolthires lines of business. Responsibilities Develop, deploy, and maintain robust data pipelines on bolthires Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging services like BigQuery and Composer (Apache Airflow) Translate existing legacy programs and data processes into efficient, scalable Python-based solutions for migration to GCP Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless data flow and service delivery Focus on data quality, integrity, and reliability throughout the data lifecycle, implementing best practices for monitoring and validation Skills Experience with SQL/NoSQL Experience with Python (or a comparable scripting language) Experience with data warehouses (such as data modeling and technical architectures) and infrastructure components Experience with ETL/ELT, and building high-volume data pipelines Experience with reporting/analytic tools Experience with query optimization, data structures, transformation, metadata, dependency, and workload management Experience with big data and cloud architecture Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field required Experience in designing and building data engineering solutions in cloud environments (preferably GCP) Experience in Python or a comparable scripting language and shell scripting Experience in creating SQL based processes Experience with Jenkins, Git, bolthires/CD pipeline, and other DevOps principles/best practices Understanding of software development methodologies including waterfall and agile Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams bolthires
