The Associate RF Engineer will support the RF Engineering team in creating network designs, producing RF predictions, and assisting in field testing activities. Responsibilities In support of
Senior RF Engineers and/or RF Engineers create iDAS and Small Cell network designs to include system equipment selection such as antennas, passive RF conditioning products and active electronics In support of
Senior RF Engineers and/or RF Engineers produce and document RF predictions and link budgets for design approvals Assist the construction teamsβ efforts by ensuring detailed scopes of work (SOW), processes, procedures, and test plans Development software proficiency with industry standard RF propagation modeling tools such as iBwave and Atoll Directly responsible for updating system databases including but not limited to Small Cell Geographic Information System (SCGIS) and Asset Management System (AMS) Participate in field testing activities such as evaluating existing RF environment (Benchmarking) and Continuous Wave (CW) propagation analysis Participate in the analyzation of field-testing results and the preparation of customer documentation Familiarity with various types of test equipment such as power meter, bolthires analyzer, pilot scanner and test mobile system (TEMS) devices Assist with RF and fiber testing, reporting, and troubleshooting Ability to review and approve various construction contractor provided field test results such as PIM, VSWR and DTF A firm understanding of link budgets, calculated noise figures, and intermodulation products Basic knowledge of radio wave propagation fundamentals, antenna theory, and optical transmission medium Skills Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Required of Science in Electrical Engineering 0 - 2 Less than two (2) years RF engineering experience or equivalent Required Benefits
