Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing Errors and Omissions Southeast team. The Associate Underwriter/Underwriter will be responsible for assessing risks, underwriting errors and omissions insurance policies, and developing tailored insurance solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate is motivated to build and manage a book of profitable business while contributing to product development and special projects as requested. This individual must be a savvy, ambitious team player with a strong marketing persona. Responsibilities Risk Assessment & Analysis β€’ Review submissions for completeness and accuracy. β€’ Analyze exposure, loss history, and industry-specific risks for E&O coverage. β€’ Apply underwriting guidelines to determine terms, conditions, and pricing. Policy Lifecycle Management β€’ Prepare quotes for new and renewal business. β€’ Handle endorsements, invoicing accuracy, and transaction requests. β€’ Maintain underwriting files and ensure compliance with internal processes. Broker & Client Interaction β€’ Communicate with brokers to obtain missing information and clarify underwriting decisions. β€’ Negotiate coverage terms while balancing profitability and client needs. Data & Documentation β€’ Utilize underwriting systems and tools for rating and risk analysis. β€’ Ensure accurate documentation of underwriting decisions and exposure details. Collaboration β€’ Work closely with senior underwriters and management for complex accounts. β€’ Participate in marketing efforts and contribute to team goals. Continuous Learning β€’ Pursue professional development (e.g., CPCU, ARM, or E&O-specific certifications). Qualifications β€’ 1-3 years of experience (E&O preferred) β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM) are a plus. β€’ Knowledge of underwriting principles, insurance regulations, and policy structures. β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills β€’ Strong analytical and organizational skills β€’ Team player that can provide creative solutions while working in a collaborative environment β€’ Engaged in industry organizations and events β€’ Strong broker relationship building skills β€’ Can thrive in a remote work environment and travel as required Apply tot his job
