Attorney Writer Needed for High-Level Legal Blog Content (Estate Planning, Tax, Probate)

🌍 Remote, USA 🎯 Full-time 🕐 Posted Recently

Job Description

We are a law firm seeking a licensed U.S. attorney with strong writing credentials to produce sophisticated, publication-quality legal articles comparable to JD Supra, Bloomberg Tax, or similar platforms. This is not basic SEO or marketing content; we are looking for substantive, technically accurate, and insightful legal analysis written for an informed audience, including clients, professionals, and referral partners. The subject matter will primarily involve estate planning, probate and estate administration, tax planning and tax controversy, and business planning as it intersects with tax and estates.

The ideal candidate must be a licensed attorney with demonstrated experience producing high-level legal writing, such as JD Supra publications, law review articles, bar journal contributions, or similar work. The ability to analyze nuanced legal issues and explain them clearly—without oversimplifying—is essential. A strong command of tax concepts and estate planning strategies is highly preferred, along with comfort incorporating statutes, regulations, and case law where appropriate. Writing should reflect authority, precision, and professionalism, not marketing-oriented or generic content.

This will be an ongoing engagement, with an anticipated volume of one to four articles per month, typically ranging from 1,200 to 2,500 words. While we will provide topics, we value independent issue spotting and welcome topic suggestions that address emerging or under-discussed legal and tax issues. All work must be original, well-researched, and publication-ready, with a tone suitable for professional legal audiences.

Applicants should provide their jurisdiction(s) of licensure, links or samples of published legal writing, a brief description of their experience in tax, estate planning, or probate, and their preferred rate (per article or hourly). Please also confirm that all work will be original and personally authored. Additional qualifications such as an LL.M. in Taxation, CPA designation, or prior experience writing for law firms or professional publications are a plus.
