Job Description
The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking an Auditor to join their team. The Auditor will assist with compliance, financial, and management audits primarily in the Medi-Cal program and other DHCS programs, ensuring that payments and reported costs are valid and compliant with regulations. Responsibilities Assist with compliance, financial and/or management audits Conduct in-house desk audits and field audits in acute care or long-term care program areas Perform financial and compliance reviews and audits of Medi-Cal and other DHCS programs' inpatient providers Verify that payments to providers and their reported costs are valid, accurate and in compliance with governing laws, regulations, and program intent Provide audited data to assist with provider rate setting purposes Skills Must meet the minimum qualifications of the Auditor I, Health Program Auditor II, and Health Program Auditor III Education verification required if meeting minimum qualifications with education Travel required 15% of the time Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.Cal
