About the position
C-HIT, a CMMI Maturity Level 5 company, focuses on delivering information technology and professional services to Federal and State agencies.
- Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for APIs and application using tools like selenium, postman.
- Automate regression, smoke, and integration test suites.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Validate API functionality, data accuracy, and error handling.
- Conduct Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 accessibility testing.
- Validate screen reader compatibility (JAWS, NVDA).
- Test keyboard navigation, color contrast, and form accessibility.
- Document accessibility defects and remediation guidance.
- Design and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests.
- Use tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner.
- Validate system SLAs, response times, and throughput.
- Identify bottlenecks across APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
- Test API Gateway integrations (MuleSoft or similar).
- Validate data movement across real-time and batch pipelines.
- Support testing of Kafka-based event streaming.
- Verify logging, monitoring, and error recovery mechanisms.
- Ensure testing aligns with CMS, HIPAA, FISMA, NIST, and Section 508 standards.
- Support UAT and ATO documentation.
- Produce test plans, reports, and compliance artifacts.
- Collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in automation, accessibility, and performance testing.
- Strong experience testing APIs and integration-heavy systems.
- Hands-on experience with accessibility testing tools (axe, Wave, JAWS, NVDA).
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, k6).
- Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States for at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.

- Experience supporting CMS or federal healthcare IT programs.
- Familiarity with MuleSoft API Gateway.
- Experience testing Kafka or event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
- Certification or training in Section 508 or accessibility testing.
